Our tour guide DK was very helpful and insightful about the slum. He grew up there and taught us about the history, the culture, the people and showed us the manufacturing inside the slum.
It was a great experience that helped me better understand how itโs residents live and make a living.
He also told us about some pop culture trivia like Slumdog millionaire and explained where it is ok to take pictures.
Great experience and the area is pretty safe. The people are super friendly, especially the kids!

Varsha gave us a very good tour of Dharavi. She lived there so she had good information about the industry and the housing inside this area It was not what I expected. I did not realize there were so many businesses inside the area. Everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed some desserts while we were there.
