I went on 3 memorable tours during my brief stay in Mumbai all booked via Magical Mumbai. The Full day tour, Slum Tour and Indian Food Tour. I highly recommend these tours especially if you want to get a flavour of Mumbai and an introduction to the history and culture. As a solo traveller I felt very well looked after by the team and my guide Samir was very knowledgeable and took great pleasure in answering my numerous questions. I particularly enjoyed the slum tour as it makes you rethink the notions generally held about slums and those who live in it. I got the opportunity to travel like a local whilst acting like a tourist and the food tour is simply an opportunity not to be missed. I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian dishes and the handmade ice cream was a perfect way to round off the tour.
