Fabulous tour!! Aryan was the best, super knowledgeable and took the time to give us all the details on every stop. He was very caring and waited for us at the caves when we took longer going up the 100 plus stairs. He kept getting us water and making sure we were ok and I was very impressed. He made our trip memorable and took so many pictures for us, I would recommend this tour company to anyone without doubt. At the caves, our guide Trikal gave us details on every carving and went above and beyond to explain the Hindu gods. Being local to the island, he also was able to give us insight on life there as well as differences between life there vs Mumbai. Final verdict was 5 stars!!! Just a wonderful day out. An amazing personal tour around Mumbai with the Elephanta Caves. Aryan was personable and knowledgeable around Mumbai and Trikle gave an informative tour around the caves, it was amazing to have a tour around the island by someone born and raised on the island.

We were picked up from the green gate at the port and brought to Mumbai gate were the guide organised our tickets and took a picture to transmit to the guide on elefanta island to recognise us. After a one hour boat ride during which passengers fed seagulls accompanying the boat we arrived and were greeted by Trikal, an English speaking guide with a strong accent. His father and a family member have a shop on the island and he cautions tourists to not make a commitment “ to a shopkeeper to come back” because he gets blamed by the locals if he would make comments about how genuine (or not) the products are. He had a wealth of knowledge explaining the stone carvings and their history. However the enthusiasm leads to a “rapid download” of information that makes it sometimes difficult to follow. A bit of slowing down would be helpful. Once we boarded the boat for the return trip we had to wait 60 minutes until the boat was filled, which was outside of the control of tour operator. The driver to pick us up from the Mumbai gate was slightly delayed but managed the terrible traffic extremely well with at times unusual driving manoeuvres.
Ali again was great and Imael drove us perfectly to the ferry. We were expertly guided around the elephanta caves by Prakash (I hope I remembered your name correctly because you were super) We really would highly recommend using Magical Mumbai Tours and to seek out these individuals.
