Upon arrival, we’ll take a toy train that will transport you to the base of the Elephanta Caves, where you’ll climb 120 steps to reach the caves. Once there, you’ll meet your local Elephanta Caves guide, who will provide an insightful tour in English, sharing the rich history and stories behind the caves. Afterward, you’ll visit the historic Portuguese-era cannons. The Elephanta Ellora tour concludes with a return ferry ride to Mumbai, ending where it all began. A lot in a short time, quality service
Aryan was our guide; he did a great job fielding all of our questions with good information and in impeccable English. He There was convenient hotel pickup and drop off and it was nice to have all of our tickets and driver already taken care of by the tour company. The driver, Samheer, was professional and the car ride was pleasant with AC and water bottles. Trikal was our guide at the Elephanta caves and Aryan made sure it was a smooth handoff. Trikal has lived on that island his whole life and was very knowledgeable about the religious aspects of the caves. He also negotiated prices at the stalls for a souvenir for us, which was unexpected but nice. We opted to have lunch on the tour and had a really great home cooked meal with everyday Indian food by a friend. Definitely would suggest doing the Mumbai Sightseeing and Elephanta Caves combined tour if you’re pressed for time in Mumbai – we were only there a day and it gave us the chance to see a lot of the city. We also went on a Sunday which was good because less traffic.

Great afternoon at Elephanta caves
Great experience at this UNESCO site island. We got accompanied by Eklavya by ferry (skipping the queues:) and got to hear about every day life in Mumbai and then met local guide Pankaj , who took us to the unesco site.
Wonderful trip to Elephant cave Mumbai
I had a wonderful trip with Eklavya who took me to the Island. When I arrived trikalwas waiting for me to guide me through the caves. He is a great guide, lives on the island, he could tell me a lot about the different statues and made it come to life. Thank you both for a great trip.

We had a great experience with this tour company even though we booked with them on short notice. The manager was responsive and answered all of the questions we had along with helping to identify where a discount can be applied for Indian document holders, which was appreciative. We did the 4-6 hour Elephanta Caves tour and the local tour guide we were paired up with there through Magical Mumbai Tours did a fantastic job explaining the detailed history behind the caves and scupltures and gave us plenty of time for photos. It was a really hot day but he still explained everything with a smile and elaborated where we asked questions. Would refinitely recommend this tour company! They also have women tour guides!
