Easiest way is to take a UBER to Kavale Math Municipal School.
NOTE : You cannot come at this point on an auto rickshaw or tuk-tuk.
You have to be there at 6:55 am, tour will start at 7:00 am.
While ritual ablutions, sprinkling holy water, and offerings are part of the traditional ceremonies performed by priests and devotees, recreational bathing or swimming in the tank is not permitted to preserve its sacred sanctity and water purity.
You can easily reach the tank by taking a taxi, or private car to the Walkeshwar area in South Mumbai. From the main road, a short, scenic walk down a narrow, pedestrian-only lane leads you directly to the water steps.
According to Hindu mythology, the tank was created during the exile of Lord Rama when he shot an arrow (ban) into the earth to draw forth clean water from the holy Ganges to quench his thirsty brother, Lakshmana.
